From Málaga
About 55 to 60 km, roughly one hour by road. Guests staying in Málaga city are the easiest to collect: pickup is usually at the hotel in the morning, and you are back in the city in the afternoon.
From Marbella, Mijas and the rest of the coast

Parking and the shuttle, if you drive yourself
The route runs in one direction, from the north entrance on the Ardales side to the exit near El Chorro, so you cannot walk it in reverse. Park at the north entrance, where parking is free but fills early at weekends, and arrive about 30 minutes before your ticket slot. After the walk, a shuttle bus takes you from the exit back to the entrance for a small fee. Allow time for it when you plan the rest of your day. With a private driver none of this is your concern.

Entry is by timed slot, and tickets for weekends, holidays and busy months sell out many weeks ahead, often six to twelve weeks in spring and autumn. If you want a specific date, decide early.
